Seasons Change, People Change

I haven't written a blog in forever, I have drafted them but deleted them instead of posting. I got too personal. (Goodness, I never know what to write, seeing that I just deleted like 4 paragraphs and am again starting fresh... wonder if this will get posted.)
This weekend was busy and I have been looking forward to it for awhile. Jason and Melissa got married on Saturday in Hagerstown. This may come as a shock but I'm not a fan of Weddings... but this one was really beautiful and it was so cute how they looked at each other and were a bit goofy during the ceremony. They are perfect for each other.
Of course, I drank wayyy too much because I was a bit upset (like Alcohol is ever the right combo with being upset.) I feel that I will never get married (nor do I want to, anymore.) I didn't even get up to catch the bouquet. So yeah, "that shitty attitude" and too much wine= a meltdown. Thank god I did it in my car and only a select handful saw me.
Anyways, that was a mess but Sunday we drove home (everyone stayed at a hotel.) We stopped at Nino Taco, off 695. That used to be where I would meet Jeremy during his lunch and my school break. We came home and went on the boat all day. It was beautiful! Lucy went swimming for the second time. She loved it but she has been so bad lately! She no longer listens to the command; Lucy Come (as if she really ever did.) She runs like a little beast into my neighbors yard and the one next to theirs. Then she wants to play the "chase me" game. I want to beat her little ass sometimes. Grrr... but I can't be mad at her as she is sound asleep right next to me. I love her.
Welp, Time for sleep! Plant tomorrow.
OHHHH PS, we were of course late for the ceremony because I am late for everything! Who knew it took 1hr30mins to get to Hagerstown?? Well it didn't really take that long, Jeremy drove triple digits (in my car) while I shit my dress (can't say pants cause I wore a dress, duh.) He cut 29 minutes off our commute and we walked in at 3:05, the wedding started at 3. We caught up to a red XLR (sexy ass car) half way there that happened to be a Wedding guest also running late. We stuck together on the road the whole time, made for a nice conversation piece. :)

I miss my friend

I get hit with two tragic anniversaries back to back; March 14th, my brother and today, my best friend. I don't talk about him but that doesn't mean I don't think about him.
His name was Evan and he was my best friend. Today makes it 8 years since he passed away. I could not even begin to describe what an amazing, kind hearted, unique person he was. I have never and will never have a friendship with anyone like ours was, ever again.
I was the luckiest person to consider him and him consider me his best friend.
Knowing him made me a better person.

I'd like you to meet Lucy.

After much anticipation, I'd like to introduce Lucy.

Here are some details about my little girl.
Little Lucy is a King Charles Cavalier Spaniel and her birthday is January 21, 2009. She weights 3.5lbs (says her vet Dr.Rines at Severn River Animal Hospital,) and is from Missouri.
The Story.
We got her on Sunday, April 19, 2009 from Today's Pet in Columbia Mall. I have been wanting a dog for over a year now but with Harley being sick and then passing away, it never felt right to get one. He was such a great dog and meant so much to us, it was an uncomfortable situation. Harley died on November 1, 2008; so it's been some time and on Saturday I went to my mom and talked to her about the dog topic. Being my mom, she just rolled her eyes at me; Hey at least I didn't get a NO, like before! I have looked at sooo many types of dogs in the past; Dalmation, English Bull Dog, Pug, Boston Terrier, Akita, Labs... etc, etc, etc, but never liked one type. Jeremy and I woke up on Sunday and went to breakfast at Bob Evans (not my favorite place.) I told Jeremy how my mom seemed "ok" with the idea of me getting a dog. To my surprise he said, "Let's go to the pet store." I love going to the pet store and have went like 100 times but never once did I feel a connection to one dog that made me think, I want this dog! I kept saying, "I'm not getting a dog today, especially from Today's Pet! I just want to play with a bull dog." That is until I walked into the store, and saw a King Charles Cavalier Spaniel, I looked at Jeremy and said it's probably a boy, ew. Brandon (the guy who worked there) walked by and I said "is that a girl or boy King Charles," he said, "uhhh it's a little girl." I looked at Jeremy again and said "can I see her?" Brandon put us in a room and from the moment he handed her to me, I was done! She has the best little personality and is so sweet, I knew she was ours!
Now after two days of much much much debate over a name, we decided last night, she is our Lucy! Jerms and I both love the beetles and little did he know, Britney Spears' character in Crossroads was named Lucy, muhaha! :)
Thats the story of how Lucy joined our family!

Happy Easter Mester!

(This blog post is all over the place)

I love Easter! It's the start of my favorite time of year. Everything is in bloom, the weather is changing, time for tanning and boating, I can't wait for Summer! Even if that means the dreaded allergies but oh well. I'll start with today;

Woke up and scoped out all the yummy candy the Easter bunny left me. That Easter bunny has really good taste! Decorated some cute (and delicious) Easter bunny funfetti cupcakes, see Erins Edibles for pictures. Of course we were late for Jerms fam. I swear, I will be late for my own funeral; I do not know why I am late for everything! Jerms and I don't get to go over his parents that much but when we do I absolutely love it! So many things over there are so much fun; The board games, the activities, the conversations, the company... it's just an all and all great time! Around 4:15 Jerms and I headed to Mawmaw's. Again, we were late for dinner there but it was ok we ate at the Martin's, but I did have seconds... and a giant piece of chocolate delight. Hey, Aunt Carol made it especially for me! We missed the kids Easter egg hunt but we had o.... WAIT, I forgot (I don't know how) to mention the Hunt at the Martins. WELLLLL, considering I have ice packs on both of my busted up knees THANKS CHARLES but I'm glad you got to keep your balance at my expense. Needless to say, I got that egg. j/k Charles, I only have one icepack on one knee. ;) Anways, we had fun down Mawmaw's too. I don't know why both Easter Egg hunts this year got really physical. My cousin Michael, who is as tall as me and probably weighs more tackled me but I got him in a sleeper hold... barely, he is a strong kid. Next year, he is totally going to be able to kick my butt! Yup, the weather was beautiful and this Easter was a blast! I posted below a few of my favorite pictures from today... more on facebook & webshots, of course :)
Pic 1. 5 Deviled Eggs, Perhaps that's why he spent 45 minutes in the bathroom???
Pic 2. Hannah & Ben going after the same Easter Egg.

Pic 3. Jerm running out the door at Mawmaw's after some Easter Eggs.

Saturday started out bad but ended good.
My 2 1/2 year old bad ass HP laptop, died. I was working on it for 2 hours, took a shower, went to use it again and bam, it's fried. It sucks because I do everything on that laptop. I have all my artwork saved on an external drive but all my software (adobe mostly) is for PC and now I am getting a mac. I currently have another tab open ordering a mac book pro! I'm excited for it, I just really can't afford it right now, which blows. I guess that's what a credit card is for.

Later that night, The folks, Jerms and I went to Rob's (The plant manager and good family friend) wife Rosas birthday party. Rosa is hispanic and so was 80% of the people there, 75% of which did not speak english. No big deal, I know some spanish, Jerms knows a little more then me and DK is pretty fluent in it. BK knows none. :) The evening was actually so much fun, they had some banging ass food, and super fun everything else.

This weekend was a blast!

2x Tuesday

Today is 2x Tuesday which is one of my favorites during the week... We order pizza here at the plant and it is really good. :) Wow, that sounds lame and fat kidish.
I have a 10k mailer going out that I am creatively blocked on... I need to design it and actually make it while designing labels and all the other stuff I do around here. I want to find a graphic artist that is seriously bad ass at what they can do. Know someone?
This is all for now. Boring day!
